[Review] B: The Beginning (Netflix)

I’ve been meaning to talk about this anime on the blog for what feels like forever now. Every time I open WordPress and check my drafts, this is at the top. But when I open the post, I always stop. Why? Because all I can really say about this show is that I didn’t entirely understand it but still really enjoyed it

I know, what kind of review is that, right?

And by the time I actually had the will to just write anything, I also forgot the smaller details. Yup, it’s been a while since I last properly watched this. That is, until last month. Yup! Last month I decided to rewatch this show because I’d seen that there was now a S2 and I can’t just jump into S2 without remembering S1, right? But I gave myself a little challenge this time. I rewatched it…in Spanish!

I’m finally getting to share this with you all!! I’m so excited, but also, hello, it’s been a while

Well, a while on the blog because I was still semi-active on Twitter, which is where I found this GEM. Back in July, Lightening Strikes Art opened up preorders for a zine she was making. It was a compilation of her short comic strips of the JJK cast being super cute in a tiger cub AU, and after much thinking (mainly about shipping, there was no question about my NEEDING this zine), I decided to get it!

And it did not disappoint. It’s so cute!!

So I Started Watching Gameboys! (Ep1-3)

Hey everyone! And welcome back to the blog for some cute boys!! I don’t have manga or webcomics for you today (maybe?) but I do have another Netflix title I’d like to bring to your attention

While I was browsing through the catalog last week, I added a few titles to my list so I could slowly go through them (which, I am very bad at doing, if my unwatched for years now list is anything to go by). BUT, because there were cute gay boys, I knew I’d get to them sooner. And sooner just happened to be last night!

One of the titles is a series called Gameboys Level-Up Edition, which I wasn’t totally sold on, but that I thought, eh, why not?

Hey everyone! I hope you’ve all been thirsty for some gay boys because I am so excited to share with you all two more cute ones. I’m actually really emotional right now!

I was just browsing Netflix and I don’t know about you all, but I always browse for two hours and then decide not to watch anything. But this time was different! I somehow ended up seeing the cover image of this “show”, added it to my list, kept browsing, and then eventually succumbed to the curiosity, watched the trailer, then BAM, I huddled up on my bed to watch me some cute boys!

It was so beautiful!!

[Review] Marriage to the Wolf: The Tale of an Inter-species Union by Hana Inui

In the last post I belatedly realized that I hadn’t talked about the reason I now have a Futekiya account and for “this week’s” BL recommendation, I decided to talk about one of my favorite BL manga I read this year (so far)! You might notice that I have a thing for non-human characters~

Also, if anyone doesn’t know what Futekiya is, it’s basically Crunchyroll but for BL manga. You pay a monthly fee and then you’re given access to their library of English licensed and translated works. I think it’s a really neat idea and I’m starting to see this form of English licensing happening but I’m going to be honest, as a collector, I kind of hate it. I mean, I want to have a physical copy of the manga that I read, but it’s also very convenient. Not only can you access as many BL titles as you want (granted that it’s in their library) but now you don’t have to worry about liking or disliking a story (one price for it all), which, if you collect, can get pricey. I mean, there have been quite a few titles I’ve collected where I was like, WELL, if I’d KNOWN, I probably wouldn’t have bought it. But, it is the current way to support the authors so please check it out!

[Review] The Dragon’s Husband – A Surprisingly Fluffy BL Fantasy by Ake Susaki

At the beginning of the year I was super excited because my manga count was OVER THE ROOF but now I’m too scared to even check. I’m probably behind on my yearly goal and nothing is more scary than seeing that number grow…and grow…So. I’ve decided not to check and after having a two week “break” from reading…BL manga (because you know I’ve been staying up for a few minutes every day trying to read some JJK fanfic!!!), I think I’m ready to tackle my goals again. And maybe beg forgiveness for forcing myself into Sukuna’s domain because WOW, he hot. Who am I begging? I haven’t decided yet…
