If this is your first time hearing about this project, here’s a little info about it (I’d also check out Jon’s official post)
The Jon Creator Showcase was created by Jon over at Jon Spencer Reviews at the end of 2017. His goal for this project was to have content creators share their work in an interactive way (regardless of skill or following) to a greater audience. The project was run by Jon for a month but because of IRL situations he had to “drop the project.” Luckily, Raistlin suggested having multiple hosts as a way to not let the project die! Since then, the showcase has grown and is one of the biggest collaborative projects in the anime blogging community aimed at promoting creators’ works (regardless of what community they are from)
If anyone is interested in being a host for the Jon Creator Showcase read through the guidelines and then keep your eyes peeled for the yearly schedule released by Jon. Here is the 2022 sign up
And to those who wish to submit something to be showcased, since #theJCS is hosted by multiple bloggers, the “rules” to join vary but usually involve a Twitter thread and a tagging system. Each host will usually release more information on their blog when it’s their turn to host. All content types are welcome and encouraged, from blog posts on any subject, original and fan-based stories and art, youtube videos, music, podcast episodes, etc. One of the unique quirks of #theJCS is that each showcase “runs a month late”, meaning that people hosting for March are showcasing works that were created in February, which allows for some planning
To keep up with updates, I’d follow Jon on Twitter and/or keep an eye on the tag #theJCS

This was such a fun project and it’s really sad that it lost momentum at the end. ICYMI, all of these showcases have amazing posts and you should check them out ^^
