Hey guys! So it looks like quite a few of you guys were able to relate to the first quote, which I expected unless I’m like this super weirdo with different identities…haha (well, I mean, I am a weirdo but for slightly different reasons…)
Anywho, here is day 2, hope you guys enjoy this quote too, but before I start, here are the rules again 🙂
Rules:
- Post one quotation a day for three days (they can be from other sources or one of your own).
- Nominate 3 other bloggers to participate per post.
- Thank the blogger who nominated you.
This is something I’m really trying to work on in life. I’ve always left things for last minute and sometimes I joke that I’m a professional procrastinator, however, I’m at that point in my life where I can’t do that anymore.
I’ve been an adult for some time now, I’m (possibly) going to be graduating soon, I have to think about what I’m going to do with my life, I can’t just stay at Dunkin forever, and I’ve had five years (and more) to think about these things.
Of course, it’s only one quarter before I graduate that I’m finally doing something, which is good and bad. I mean, I could have waited until after I’d graduated to get in gear, but I understand that after you get out of school it’s harder to get things done. While in school we have connections, classmates that we can talk to, advisors and professors that can introduce us to job opportunities, people, or even just help you get started on things, while after you’ve left school we don’t have all of that surrounding us.
Especially quiet me, I will be stranded if I don’t get myself in gear!
To remedy these things I am trying to get published in at least 1 of my school’s…I don’t even know what it’s called. An art and literature magazine? Book? Something like that. I’m also going to an internship/job fair this upcoming Friday in hopes to find something.
Other things I’m working on are projects. Because I’m part time this quarter, I’m trying to do more projects at home, hoping to build a portfolio. And just little things like this so that I don’t have nothing when I’m finally on my own.
My nominees: Just Geeky Stuff – MangaLover93 – GuardsGoneWild
Until next time~ 😀
I’m the same. I’m a graduating student as well and i really don’t have time to procrastinate especially with real life stuff. We have to act fast! 👊

What you’re talking about is civil engineering, they’re involved in building bridges, buildings, etc. I’m in electronics engineering and well, it’s all about electronics. xD

Oh! Good luck on the fair, I think internships are great, you actually get paid to learn and since you are learning, and everyone knows that, you can get away with some mistakes orz
I’m also trying to stop procrastinating, it’s sort of fine when you don’t have many things to do, but when the workload increases is a nightmare ;-; so far the only thing that has kept me focused, is listening to work-related podcasts, they keep me interested and that has decreased the times I check social media or get distracted by anything else >_>

Thanks! 🙂 ah, well, not all internships are paid, a lot of them usually are unpaid but they help with experience and places usually hire interns afterwards (because it’s easier than training someone new)
I’ve tried listening to podcasts but they turn into background noise to me and before I know it they’ve been over for so long, I can’t keep concentrated xD which reminds me, what is engineering? When I hear of it I think of building and blueprints and the likes, am I completely off?

Sorry wrong person OTL ignore the engineering part (so embarrassed)

I was also confused when I read about engineering xDD it’s fine.
I think un-paid internships mean more companies are willing to take interns because they aren’t obligated to pay them (here is now hard to get internships because of that).
For me podcast have worked amazingly, I’m now really motivated òuó9 I try to listen to them while doing boring/repetitive stuff that doesn’t really need much of my attention (leading to procrastination), but sometimes I do miss what they are saying :_D

Personally, I feel like unpaid internships can be a bit of a turn off, which is why I didn’t try looking for anything before, but at this point I’m like, if I don’t get experience somehow, I’m doomed! xD
I think that’s why I don’t listen to podcasts or videos much, I just can’t do more than one thing at a time OTL Like, I’ll start off with something playing in the back but then I’ll stop what I was doing previously (if I end up really listening). I’m so envious of people who can do both (aka my bro and mom)
How do you find podcasts?

Awww, good luck, friday is just around the corner òuó9
I can multitask, as long as something doesn’t need my 100% attention xD
As for the podcasts, I’m just listening to one, it’s called Being Boss, aimed to creative entrepreneurs. I found it trough one of my favourite Illustrators, Fran Meneses, she talked about it at one of her videos.
This is the link of the podcast: http://lovebeingboss.com/ I’m still in episode 14, I don’t think I’ll need to find another one for a while xDD

If you can’t tell I basically have been blog stalking your quote posts! I had to leave a comment on this though because I totally agree! I’m in my second year of teaching and my life is still a series of procrastinating induced stress comas mixed with moments of clarity where I remember I’m actually suppose to be an adult with my life together!
